Junior Technical Administrator

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Administrator to join our team. At Compatible Automotive, we are driving change in the automotive industry in Africa and we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate innovation and initiative within our digital customer portfolio.

Job Description

In this role you will be involved in various project and systems across the business. You will be expected to work on multiple projects at the same time and support your direct colleagues with finding and developing the best solutions. You’ll be responsible for delivering projects on time and raise any obstacles timeously with the team. Additionally, this role requires assisting customers with technical queries and providing training / guidance on products.

To succeed in this role, establishing a strong working relationship with the different teams, and a solid understanding of the product suite is key.

Skills

Advanced SQL knowledge
Diploma/degree in IT
Proven working experience in project management
Experience with C# and PowerBI is an advantage
Affiliation with the automotive industry is an advantage
Fluent in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, reliable with ‘attention to detail’ and ‘get things done’ attitude

Duties and Responsibilities

Development & Testing

Creation and maintenance of reports from our Dealer Management System
Setting up SQL Jobs for new and existing customers
Writing/Modifying Stored procedures or scripts to solve repetitive tasks
Creation and maintenance of databases
Testing new system releases, and reporting queries/bugs/improvements to global development team
Modifying Standard system templates
Understanding, scoping and developing integrations for different projects and systems across the business
Documentation of scripts, reports, integrations, and other solutions

Training and skills development

Training and handover of skills and knowledge within the Technical Team
Collaboration with team members to explore the best solutions
Participate in optimising internal processes by using IT solutions

Project and Support

Attending to any project tasks during the project cycle
Assisting customers with technical queries about products and projects
